    In the movie: Circa 1984. During his transfer to another jail, bank robber Carella is handcuffed with life-sentenced convict Brandon. Taking advantage of an accident, Brandon escapes with a reluctant Carella and they spend two days wandering in the south of France, near Nice.
    In the fic: they spend one night in the open. They're both handsome, handcuffed and on the run. Do I need to say more? :-)
